바로 얼마전에 beta tester모집한다는 소식을 접했었는데 그새 새로운 version이 나왔다.
뭐 이것저것 자질구레한 update뿐만 아니라, 몇몇 근본적인 변화가 눈길을 끈다.

우선 TrackBack이란 기능인데 꽤 유용할 것 같다...음호호...
다음으로는 아무래도 backend DB를 MySQL로 지원 한다는 것이다. 열받는 option이다.
현재 hosting 중인 x-y.net은 MySQL지원에 추가금이 든다나. 칫.

Movable Type 2.2 is now available for download.

Amongst the small fixes and improvements documented in the changelog, there are two very large new features with this release.

• TrackBack is a framework for peer-to-peer communication between weblogs; it can track cross-weblog discussions, it can provide remote content repositories, it can emulate guest authoring, etc. A more detailed introduction to TrackBack is available here. Please read through the documentation to learn how to set up TrackBack on your blog.
• The system can now use a MySQL database for backend data storage, as an alternative to the Berkeley DB storage. If you are installing Movable Type for the first time, you'll have the option of installing the Berkeley DB version or the MySQL version. If you're upgrading, we've included a conversion script to transfer your data from Berkeley DB to MySQL.

The other big change is this website. We've reorganized the content, improved the FAQ, and modified the terms of the commercial license. Please let us know if you find problems on the new site.

• Added permaLink element to the struct returned from metaWeblog.getPost and metaWeblog.getRecentPosts.

• Fixed bug with saving entry you created when you don't have rebuild permissions.

• Added PingTimeout setting.

• Split off rebuild and ping from save entry, so that they now occur on separate screens (though still automatically). This gives a better indication of status to the user, as well as enabling more ping options (like TrackBack).

• Added descriptions for categories and the <$MTCategoryDescription$> tag.

• If entry does not have title in search results, first 22 chars of body will be used instead.

• Fixed bug where entries saved as Draft would show up when using OR or AND in the <MTEntries category="..."> tag.

• Fixed related="1" google search.

• Standardized stylesheet links in default templates.
